KATATONIA To Take Break From Songwriting Sessions To Play METAL MANIA Festivals
January 23, 2005Sweden's KATATONIA have posted the following message on their official web site:
"During the following six months, we'll be very busy with the making of our new album. Nevertheless, we won't be locked up in the studio the entire time as we have just confirmed three live dates in March — the Metal Maniafestivals, that will take place in Hungary, Czech [Republic] and Poland. Other bands appearing on the bill are CRADLE OF FILTH, APOCALYPTICA, MOONSPELL etc. This will be only opportunity to catch the band for a long time, so show up and rock with us!"
As previously reported, Peaceville Records has set a February 21 release date for a limited-edition KATATONIA compilation, entitled "The Black Sessions". The three-disc collection will include all the singles b-sides, cover songs and select songs released between 1998 and 2004 ("Discouraged Ones" all the way to "Viva Emptiness"),plus a live DVD featuring a KATATONIA live show filmed in Krakow, Poland in April 2003.
